Last week Mrs. James taught us about tapping trees for maple syrup. She also taught us how to make maple candy by pouring hot maple syrup onto snow. It was so much fun to watch it harden!

Antrim Elementary School hosted the monthly Community Supper in Antrim in March. This event is sponsored by different groups each month and is coordinated through The Grapevine. AES served various pasta dishes,
Kindergarten got ready for St. Patrick’s Day by making rainbows and leprechaun traps. They ripped scraps of paper and glued them to a blank rainbow, matching the colored paper to the color word written in each spot on the rainbow.
Todd Goodwin, Storyteller and Game Leader, taught and led families in games they are able to take home with them. This program was sponsored and funded by Title 1 Family Engagement.
The AES-PTO invited NH Fish and Game to Gregg Lake to instruct students how to Ice Fish. Although it was a catch and release program all had fun!

AES celebrated Art Day on Feb 22. The students were divided into 10 cross aged Eagle Groups. Each group visited 4 of 10 various art stations. One station was drumming led by artist Michael Wingfield.
As part of the 4th grade visit the the Capitol City, they visited the Concord Coach #80 at Concord Group Insurance. This coach is 169 years old, and survived three fires. Read More: AES 4th Grade Views a Stagecoach
