Story Walk at AES

We have created a fun, outdoor activity for students at AES, and we would like to let you know that it is available to you after school hours. The dates it is available to you will be December 14-17th. It is a free, fun, family event done on your own schedule, and takes place on the trail behind AES (less than a ½ mile walk, so it’s not a difficult hike, but bring boots for possible snow cover).

A story walk is a fun way to get outside with your children. You can enjoy being in the forest together while your child shows you the way and reads each page to or with you as you walk along the story path. Follow the welcome sign to page #1, and continue all the way to the end of the story. Along the way, you will be reading the beautifully illustrated book, Fletcher and the Falling Leaves, by author Julia Rawlinson.

The story will be posted for Tuesday, December 14th through Friday, December 17 during our Scholastic Book Fair week. We ask that any family members who visit please follow all COVID restrictions, such as staying six feet away from others and staying home if you are experiencing any COVID symptoms. Masks are optional outdoors at AES.

Happy autumn/winter reading and walking!
